Ten Haaf Projects is pleased to announce “Fixing Future Visions”, a solo exhibition
by Joost Elschot. On display is a series of drawings and sculptures created by the
artist over the past year.

Through his work, Joost Elschot examines the way in which personal and collective
conflicts take shape. He works intuitively, shifting between refined drawings and
roughly finished sculptures. His work examines the interplay of humour and
melancholy, spirituality and the everyday, with recurring elements of desire and
absurdity. He uses materials such as wood, plaster, bubblegum and airbrush. Elschot
builds, mends and distorts, hereby creating poetic remnants of a world in constant
repair. His absurd and surreal body of work has references to existential elements.
This reflects Elschot's idea of being human: to keep dreaming, fixing and moving
forward.
